Uttishtha is Sanskrit for “arise”. It is the word Krishna speaks to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita when Arjuna, overwhelmed, wants to put down his weapons and quit.
Description
UTTISHTHA. ARISE. In the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna stands between two armies, overwhelmed, and says he does not want to fight. Krishna’s answer, in verse 2.3, is to give up this weakness of heart and arise: uttishtha. It is one short word from an ancient text, and the situation it speaks to has not changed. There is a moment in most lives when you want to put everything down. The word is not a lecture. It is an instruction to stand back up. This shirt is for anyone who wanted to give up and is getting to their feet anyway. Printed to order on a unisex Gildan 5000 heavy cotton tee.
